The Drisco Tel Aviv
If you are looking for a modern hotel with charm in Tel Aviv, the Drisco Tel Aviv is your place.
The building was build in 1866 by two American colonists who had the dream to build a luxurious hotel. It went trough many hands until 2006 when the current owner decided to renovate and modernize the hotel. This massive project took more than a decade and was finished in 2018.
The designer and the workers did a great job, you feel like back in time but with modern amenities.
Because The Drisco is a member of The Leading Hotels Of The World you can expect a really high standard which the hotel definitely delivers.
Located between Old Jaffa and Tel Aviv, The Drisco Tel Aviv offers the perfect location:
- 10 minutes walk to Jaffa and the sights of old Jaffa
- 5 minutes walk to the sea side
- 5 minutes walk to the hip area called Florentin which offers many interesting food options and cool bars
All the rooms of The Drisco Tel Aviv are decorated with modern furniture, have a balcony (some with a sea view) and have a complimentary minibar and Nespresso machine usage which get filled up daily.
For a great start into the day we need a good breakfast.
The Drisco definitely has one of the best breakfast buffets we saw so far:
A huge selection of savory and sweet food and on top of that a la card dishes like mushroom ragou with spinach and Feta cheese.
The breakfast is included in the room price and there is no extra charge.
The in-house Restaurant George & John
The in-house restaurant of the Drisco Tel Aviv offers exquisite dishes made from quality products and is definitely worth a visit.
It`s not the biggest hotel gym where we trained at but they have good quality machines and dumbbells from Techno Gym and the equipment is enough for a solid workout.
Our experience at the Drisco Tel Aviv
From the first moment we arrived we felt the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We stepped up to the entrance where the staff rushed out to take care of our luggage and to bring it to our room and we continued walking towards the reception.
After the check in procedure we had the choice of wine, sparkling wine, Aperol, juice or any soft drink followed by an explanation of the interesting history of the historical building.
When our room was ready and we entered it we got surprised with a personal hand written welcome message, a bottle of red wine and a plate of delicious dates.
What a perfect start.
